Can I still have a contact page for a Web only package?
Absolutely! There are many free and low cost providers that specialize in bulk email delivery from websites. Check out Sendgrid, mail2smtp, MailGun, and Amazon SES. Do note that outbound traffic to port 25 is blocked so ensure you are using a different port to your provider.
Why do you have hosting packages without email?
Responsible email hosting has significant costs. There are many hosting providers that do NOT host responsibly and they are to blame for much of the phishing attacks that we now have to live with. Our low cost Web packages can easily be configured to use third party senders, many of which have a free tier.
What are my responsibilities?
We invest heavily in security, infrastructure, and high availability but you are ultimately responsible for the safety, accuracy, and availability of your systems and your data. It is up to you to ensure your data is backed up. It is up to you to ensure your data is accurate. It is up to you to ensure your website application code is secure.
Do wholesale customers have any additional responsibilities?
We are responsible to our customers and the wholesale customer is responsible to their end users. Wholesale customers must provide all technical support to their customers. Wholesale customers must allocate and manage resources for their customers. We will not compete for your customers!
